Shed Envy

Oooh! Look at this home office! It’s really a glorified shed, but so cute, bright, and tucked away in the shade in the yard. And, of course, if you put some wheels on the bottom, you might be able to get away building it without a permit. Not that I would ever suggest doing that. Never mind me forwarding this to someone I know who likes building sheds…..

That is just the cutest! If you lived here in Arkansas there aren’t any codes in the counties! This leads to good and bad. This little guy would be a good!

I think I might have to make it.

Thats pretty awesome, esp. if you live in a temperate climate where heat and cooling are optional. If it’s close enough to the house, one could run the computer off the wireless.

It does seem that if you needed a private space without a lot of systems (plumbing, heat, cooling, electrical), you could build it out of recycled materials relatively quickly and inexpensively, and it could serve as a really nice workspace away from the home proper.

    I love that. Love it.

Here we have a restaurant whose interior was done entirely with material from old shipping containers. It looks fantastic (they are a BBQ place so I won’t be taking you there any time soon… ;-) Anyway, same sort of look and feel.

Jim would like to build an addition from two shipping containers. I’ve seen blueprints….
