That’s an amazing article. I was touched by the impact grace and redemption had in her life. Having known people who have come out of cults, I’m really glad she got the help she needed and even has some of her family in her life now. Wish they all experienced that freedom.
This woman sounds very innocent. I’m not sure of the differences between the FLDS and the LDS, but there must be some because the Mormons I’ve known didn’t live like this, nor did they practice polygamy. I wonder if she’s even aware of the differences?
I hate only one person: the man who founded and ran the cult my family used to live in when I was a young child. Cults destroy families.
Kate, I’m glad you liked it. I was really moved by it.
Hafidha, as far as I’ve researched, the only defining characteristic in writing between FLDS and LDS is polygamy, but clearly FLDS is run as a cult if anything on the news is true….
I’m glad you and your family got out.
