A house church or home church is a small Christian group that meets in someone's house without a minister. The critical parts as I see it are the home-meeting part and the lay-facilitated part. More here . They seem to be growing in popularity, and are used often in China for small Christian meetings, but also quite popular here. UUs tend to have these as fellowships, but it's not exactly the same thing in my mind.
