I wrote in my journal this morning that I was tired of voting and rating things.

Unfortunately, I'm just not into it this year. I think I'm feeling really odd about the categories; for example, it's hard for me to compare a blog like Beauty Tips for Ministers to Yet Another UU, although I read both of them daily. They are just way, way too different. I am doing very poorly this year, but it doesn't bother me. I did vote, however. I voted for you in one - maybe two - of the categories, but don't remember which! After I voted, I had to drink a Dixie cup of apple juice and eat a cookie.

Yes, I was thinking that Scott was definitely right. Last year I found out about a lot of new blogs that seemed to really interest me, but now that I read uupdates and have a better sense of UU blogs, I fear it's a popularity contest that I'm losing. Weren't you going to make Non-Winner badges?

These blog awards have left me feeling a little competitive. I thought we blogged for fun or to share our information. I'm feeling a little like 5th runner up in a beauty contest.
