Refilling?

I have to admit that I refill plastic bottles to drink from even though I know they’re germy and leach bisphenol-A, which is an endocrine disruptor.

I’m not sure what exactly it means about where I draw the line, but at least I have company in Alina Tugend, who wrote a rundown on all the options in refillable bottles.

My m-i-l, who is obsessed with Fly Lady (if I hear one more time that I should do a load of laundry every day and always make sure my sink is sparkling when I go to bed, I swear I will hurt someone), uses the water bottles from her web site because she is worried about cancer. These are made from polycarbonate:

Guess I’ll have to burst her bubble.

People are really into the Fly Lady. I used to get her emails, but it was too much for my fragile psyche to handle (no doubt because I don’t have a sparkling sink).

It does seem that the aluminum or stainless steel bottles are better in terms of overall health for self and planet…. We’re supposed to buy Sigg bottles the next time a check arrives.
