Friday fun: Three words
From the desk of Anne P:
This is a question that is apparently common on daycare applications: what are the top three words you would use to describe your child’s personality? I suspect that this can tell the daycare provider some things about the parents as well as the child.
Let’s tweak it: what three words would you choose to describe yourself? I’m pretty sure “integrity” would be on my list. And maybe “sensible,” how boring does that make me sound? But if I wait to post this until I am done with my own list, it may never get done. (So maybe “indecisive” should go on the list, or is there a word that means “working mother who needs to quit goofing off on the internet and get on with things?”)
Post your three words!

I’ve heard that question for both college admissions and job interviews. I think it’s a popular one with the assessment crowd.
I don’t have any words, but I do have the urge to turn “integrity” into an adjective so that it fits with “sensible” and “indecisive.” I’ll edit my comment if I think of something other than “she who constantly edits in her head”
[Edited: Funny. Smart. Hopefully, kind. Sometimes, anyway? Someone called me sardonic once and I almost flipped. But it’s probably close to the truth.]
Yes, I had parts of speech issues, but gave up on trying to make them all adjectives. I figure, if you only get three words to describe a whole complicated human being, you should get a little latitude on the grammar side
Independent. Useful. Smily.
Capable. Kind. Creative.
(Alliterative.)
And consonance!
Stubborn, funny, and indecisive. Though, independent would be on there too. Possibly as a subsegment of stubborn.
MsKitty - “Useful” - that is interesting! I like that.
For myself - eek! Hmm. Reflective. Helpful. Bossy.
This is so late, no one will read it, so I can be snarky or vulnerable and no one will know. Recent descriptions by others: heart at the center, smart, powerful. My rant about myself: too much in my head, emotional imbecile, snarky. I hope I am: kind, creative, funny.
Oh, the writers always read the comments, Anna.
Anna B - I read that! lol
